THE FEELING OF A SURREAL WORLD....

Splashing, soothing. gripping momentum......

SWIMMING....
THIS
 must be on
TOP
of our
"feeling -great- list"

Freestyle swimming, front crawl swimming..
This swimming stroke makes you glide through
the water really swiftly...
as the efficiency
 of the
strokes is marvelous....

Have you ever experienced that soothing feeling when you are
in the water and everything around you
just ceases to exist...?

......The way in which you can make a world just for your
own
under there..?

                                                              The vacuum under the water,
                                                                          the feeling
                                                                    of a surreal world....

....my time.....??
yeah....even some competition ...!

The high that swimming gives you.........
the being one with water...

....dancing water cristals....

Soft, delicate caresses......
The water surrounds you, making everything a blur...

It's still a little fresh;
but the first
mild spring days
are here...!!!

LET'S ENJOY THIS FREE SPIRITED FEELING
IN THE  SPARKLING BLUE WATER...!!!

...Come along...we wait for you!!!
(...there will be some fresh Tiramisu afterwards...)

Sweet swimming.....this is/was my Dads 2nd passion....Ron swam for University team and Jim discovered his love through swimming....so this is a very poignant post. Love the colours of blue and of course, the crystal sharpness of the photos...thank you so much for this!

Oh Elvira, these are each such marvelous images of your son swimming. Your beautiful words that you used to describe each image, flows as beautifully and swiftly as the water images. I love being near the water and watching the way it dances and the way sunlight, daylight and evening's glow plays on every ripple, and yet, I never learned to swim. I once took lessons for a brief stint and when it came time to show my parents what I had learned, I could not get in. In my teen years, some young boys did not believe me when I told them that I could not swim and I was thrown in the deep end...those young boys saved my life, but I never went in the water again...
Come over for Tiramisu, I should love to be able to do that any time;)~

Elvira- your beautiful photos are invigorating. Your son's love of swimming is evident- how wonderful that he is able to participate competitively- its a wonderful hobby- one that he can enjoy for all of his life.

I love being near the water-- I can swim like a fish-- but my greatest enjoyment is just being near beautiful waters- not necessarily in them. Just being close to water is so relaxing and soothing-- it's my most favorite way to destress.

Your candid photos are spectacular--- you've captured your son's art of swimming perfectly. Such a beautiful post my friend.

Yes- its spring- its spring- its spring! I just want to hop around like a bunny!!

Love all pictures with water -- but, one does not usually see someone swimming. So, brava for a fine set of images!! As a passionate lap swimmer [and former competitor], these photos are manna. In the top pic, very nice elbow bend, but just a slight over-rotation of the head [sorry, I/m an inveterate coach].
