Nothing is more beautiful than the
loveliness of the woods
before sunrise.
by George Washington Carver
My friend.....Put some high leather boots on;
grab a basket;
&
let's go for
a
refreshing
walk through the
oak and chestnut woods
this early autumn morning..
We are truly lucky & are invited
to assist a
spectacular
"FUNGHI FASHION SHOW"...
I have to tell you the truth...:
I didn't grab a basket....;
but I did grab my camera to shoot
these incredible
FUNGHI BEAUTIES
.... even Laccaille takes a closer look of a big fungo....
I would love to tell you the names of each and everyone...
though I am probably the only one in the whole
region who really never could
give you the right advice
of a "good" or "poison" fungo...
..but I can show you the most
"photogenic"
FUNGHI,
the
"FASHIONABLE" ONES....
& oh,
these two red cuties are having
a sweet "rendez-vous"
on the perfumed
NEPITELLA,
one of the most "important"
ingredients for
the delicious
ZUPPA DI FUNGHI.....
Please never ever pick this yellow
"SUN FUNGO"
for your
Mushroom soup....;
even this one
is posing only for the
"Funghi Fashion Show"
The
"EGG FUNGO"...isn't he too gorgeous...?
...The EXPERT CJ...
SHE helped us finding all
the delicious FUNGHI for
the
ZUPPA...
not like me...
never trust me for choosing the "good ones"
I only can show you the prettiest ones...
!!!
LA ZUPPA DI FUNGHI
the
delicious
Funghi soup,
which you absolutely should
NEVER EVER MISS
if you come & visit
Tuscany...& me !
A glass of red wine
&
BUON APPETITO!
This heavenly looking soup prepared my dearest friend
NADIA
owner of the very well known
RISTORANTE IL CASTAGNO
....Why don't we jump
right now up
in the chestnut woods
to NADIA..?

Beautiful images of the fungi on your walk through the woods, CJ would be the expert, especially for truffles...your early morning sky with the sun rising is magnificent dear Elvira.
xoxoxo ♡
The soup looks absolutely delicious & the photos are absolutely wonderful... I love the 1st image, so beautiful! I'm loving the light & shadow play in the other pics, too... a plethora of mushrooms.
Have a wonderful weekend
Absolutely breath-taking, Elvira! What a wonderful way to start my day. Thanks you.
It really was a magical walk through your chestnut and oak woods. It was a delight to see all the different 'members' of the fungi family that you have 'living' around you. Truly magical.
So many, such a wondrous variety of mushrooms. I am like you Elivra unable to discern the edibles from the non-edibles. The beauty is captivating non the less and I can only imagine the sensory explosion as you tasted the soup. MMMMMmmmmmmMMM!
Lovely...Ron
PS...CJ is your guide...now aren't you the fortunate person!
A beautiful Tuscan autumn sunrise image Elvira.
Thank you for posting it.
Yes picking wild funghi is best avoided unless you are an expert I think.
Hello Elvira,
What a wonderful shots!! Great to see all the mushrooms and all the autumn colors.
The first shot is so amazing with a great sky.

Marco
Awe...I missed you on for here a whole week, how can that be...
I miss you and I wrote you e-mail, and never heard back.
Your images of nature's beauty in mushrooms, named, or unnamed, all are so very wonderful.
I love the smell of the woods, and the eye for nature, even the smallest things, are they not all just sublime!
The mushroom dish at the end of this sweet journey, looks
delis ch!
